Yeah you know, this is just confusing for everyone. Checking 6 signs & signals before checking oncoming traffic is way too many checks at an intersection before choosing to proceed or not.

As a long time cyclist commuter and frequent traveller through this intersection both 4 wheeled & 2 wheeled, it?s just confusing. You need to complete 4 checks before proceeding or not. I think airline pilots have simpler checklists.Cyclist are vehicles on the road and should be treated as such, nothing special here. Simpler the better. If you don?t have the stones & respect for the rules of the road, stay on the sidewalk with the 4 year olds on their kick bikes.
